Ayodhya. Traffic remained disrupted on the Chowk-Rikabganj road throughout the day. During this time, pedestrians struggled with the jam here. This situation has arisen due to digging of wide pits at two new places for laying sewer lines. Due to this, vehicles are moving on this very busy road of the city in a single lane.

Under the Amrit Yojana, the work of laying the sewer pipeline in the last phase is going on in the heart of the city, Chowk area. It has been completed at Chowk Ghantaghar. Now, the pipeline is being laid by digging big pits on the roads going from here to Rikabganj, Reedganj and Gudri Bazaar. In such a situation, after moving ahead from the entrance of the road going from Chowk to Rikabganj, the road has been dug up in a wide area at a new place and barricading has been done. In such a situation, there is a continuous jam here from morning to night. People are taking a lot of time to cover this short distance in the scorching heat.

Similarly, a pit has been dug in a large area at the entrance near Kotwali Nagar at Haiderganj turn of Jamuniyabagh to lay the sewer line. Due to this, vehicles coming from Reedganj are not able to go towards the square from the entrance of their lane. Here also people are facing the problem of jam. To a large extent, the traffic police is also responsible for these problems. If route diversion is made effective, then the problem of traffic can be reduced to a great extent. Executive Engineer of Jal Nigam Anand Dubey said that every effort is being made to complete the work in this busiest area soon. To reduce the problems of people, pits are being dug to lay sewer lines in different blocks.
