A world-class temple museum (Indian Temple Museum) will be constructed in Ayodhya at a cost of Rs 750 crore. It will collect and store things from the origin of Indian culture till today. Tata Sons will construct it from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, while the Tourism Department will provide 25 acres of land for it free of cost. The Tourism Department will give this land on a lease of Rs 1 for 90 years and then for 90 years. The Cabinet gave its approval to this proposal on Tuesday.
Religious tourism has grown rapidly in the state in recent times. The tourism department is working on stopping the tourists coming here and increasing other sources of tourism. In this sequence, an action plan for the Indian Temple Museum has been prepared by it. Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that the temple museum will have information about everything from the origin of Indian culture to modern culture at one place. It will have detailed information about Vedas, Ramayana, authentic things related to temple-worship system, their origin, culture, its benefits etc. While it will have mythological information, it will also have its modern version. He said that 25 acres of land will be given to Tata for this near Guptar Ghat from Ram Ki Paadi.
Tata will spend Rs 650 crore from CSR fund on basic infrastructure facilities. He said that this will attract youth, foreign tourists, and other tourists interested in Indian culture and civilization. He said that the construction of a world-class temple museum in Ayodhya will not only promote tourism in Ayodhya but also in other places of the state. This will also create new opportunities for revenue and employment in the state.
There will be information and things related to temple and worship
Tourism Department’s Principal Secretary Mukesh Meshram said that the museum will have authentic information about the complete form of the temple, its philosophy, its concept in the mythological era, its worship, how the temple was built, its scientific perspective. Along with this, the types of temples around the world, their size, their modern form will also be shown.
