Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp in Ramnagari. The tricolour was seen fluttering in the monastery temples as well. The national anthem was sung by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust at the Ram Mandir at 8:00 am after hoisting the tricolour.
During this time, officials of Ram Mandir Trust and engineers of the implementing agency were present. At the same time, at 11:00 am, saints took out a Tiranga Yatra from Hanumangarhi and showed their devotion towards Mother India.
Saints chanted Bharat Mata ki Jai in the Tiranga Yatra led by Sankat Mochan Sena’s national president Mahant Sanjay Das. Mahant Janmejaya, labourer Mahant Muralidhar Das, Dr. Mahesh Das, priest Ramesh Das, priest Hemant Das and others were present in the Tiranga Yatra.
