Ayodhya. Devotees from India and abroad pay their respects to Ram Lalla through various means. Due to this, every month, donations worth about one crore rupees are coming to the Ram temple. Along with this, a large amount of gold and silver is also offered to Ram Lalla by the devotees. The work of testing the quality of the gold and silver received in donations has been started. For this, the Ram Mandir Trust has signed an agreement with the Mint, an institution of the Government of India. The work of testing the quality of gold and silver has started in the mint of Hyderabad.
Ram Lalla has received donations worth more than 35 billion so far. Along with this, devotees have also donated 20 kg gold and 13 quintals of silver. The trust is facing the challenge of storing these. Currently, these have been deposited in the locker of State Bank. The trust has also started checking the quality of these metals received as donations. Its testing is being done by the Mint in Hyderabad. Two employees of the trust have been sent to Hyderabad. Under their supervision, the quality of these metals is being tested, they are being melted. In the first phase, the trust has handed over 9.44 quintals of silver to the mint for testing. After this, the remaining metals will also be tested.
Champat Rai, general secretary of Ram Mandir Trust, said that a large amount of gold and silver is donated by devotees. It is necessary to check their quality, so the prestigious institution of the Government of India, which tests the quality of metals, has been entrusted with this task.
