The havoc of Saryu is not stopping. The water level of Saryu has decreased by only three cm in the last 24 hours. Despite this, Saryu is still flowing 56 cm above the red mark. Due to the fierce form of Saryu, a population of about eight thousand in two tehsils is forced to face the horror of flood. A large number of villagers are spending their days on the embankments, facing the brunt of the weather.

According to the report of the Central Water Commission, the water level of Saryu was recorded at 93.29 meters at 6 pm on Tuesday evening, which is 56 cm above the red mark of 92.73 meters. The water level of Saryu has been fluctuating in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the danger of erosion in the coastal areas has also increased. Aarti Ghat in Ayodhyadham has been submerged in the flood while the steps of Guptar Ghat are also submerged in water. Phatik Shila Ashram located behind Ramghat Halt Station has also been surrounded by flood water.

On the other hand, Pipri Sangram, Madna Majha, Qazi Pur Majha and Rampur Puwari Majha villages of Sadar tehsil are completely surrounded by flood water. Traffic has come to a halt due to waterlogging on the main roads. Village head of Mudadih, Prasad Yadav said that the administration is making all necessary arrangements to help the flood victims. Fodder is being distributed for animals and food and accommodation has been arranged for the villagers in relief camps. The administration has started the work of transporting the affected people to safe places through boats.
