The immersion procession of the idols of Maa Durga was taken out with much fanfare with musical instruments in Ramnagari. The procession, which started from the GIC grounds amid tight security, will go to Nirmali Kund of Guptar Ghat via Fatehganj, Subhash Nagar, Bajaja, Chowk, Rikabganj and Civil Line. Due to less water in Nirmali Kund, the district administration has dug a big pit nearby for the immersion of the idols of Maa Durga.
Another platform has been constructed along with the platform of Nirmali Kund. The idols of Maa Durga will be immersed on both these platforms. Shobha Yatra is being welcomed at many places in the city. Flowers are being showered from the devotees. Women, men and young devotees participating in the procession are dancing and singing in a devotional atmosphere.
RAF and PAC are accompanying the procession along with the police. IG Praveen Kumar, DM Chandra Vijay Singh and Municipal Commissioner Santosh Sharma are also showering flowers along with public representatives, BJP and Central Durga Puja Committee officials while riding on the chariot in the procession.
In the procession, Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi, former MP Lallu Singh, Ayodhya MLA Ved Prakash Gupt, former MLA Gorakhnath Baba, BJP District President Sanjeev Singh, former Metropolitan President Abhishek Mishra, State Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Harshvardhan Singh, Central Durga Puja Committee chairman Manoj Jaiswal, Supreet Kapoor, Avi Anand, Shobhit Kapoor and other BJP leaders and officials of the Central Durga Puja Committee are included.
