In the Rampur Puwari Majha area of Ayodhya, UP, the erosion of Saryu river has left many families homeless for the last one month. The families affected by this erosion are still struggling today. The condition of the affected families Asrafa, Shakurnisha, Rahul and Sheela is very difficult. Their houses, properties and shelters have been swept away by the river current. Now they don’t have even a single piece of land left to live on.
Village head Ramesh Nishad said that the authorities were informed several times about the condition of these victims, but due to being busy in Ayodhya fair duty, the administration did not show any promptness in helping these people. These families affected by deforestation have now started trying to somehow feed their families by doing hard work here and there.
