Ayodhya. On Thursday, people’s anger burst out over the power crisis that has been going on in the district for the last three days. People troubled by tripping and power cuts in the areas connected to the Niyawa power house reached the power house with their children and protested half naked. At the same time, people’s anger is increasing over the power crisis from the VIP areas of the city to the countryside. Along with this, the power workers are sweating it out to fix the frequent faults.
There has been power tripping in the areas connected to Niyawa power house for the last three days. Fed up with the frequent power cuts, local people along with their children reached the power house on Thursday afternoon and started protesting semi-naked. The officers and employees of the power corporation pacified them by explaining them. Even then, their protest continued for a long time demanding uninterrupted power supply.
There was chaos due to power outage for 14 hours
Power went off at around 11 pm in Defence Colony connected to Civil Line power house. Power came back after about an hour and disappeared again after half an hour. After this, people sat on roofs and came out of their houses all night waiting for power, but when they did not see power, they reached the power house. There they came to know that all the employees were busy repairing the fault in the 33 KV line. Therefore, in the absence of employees, repairs could be done only during the day. People returned disappointed and the power supply was not restored even till afternoon. Sheshmani Dubey said that the small child was restless in the heat all night. Somehow spent the night by running AC in the car. Vipin Kumar said that this is the problem since the last three days. Nights are passing with great difficulty.
There is a problem in many areas of Civil Line
Abhishek Sawant, a resident of Mukeri Tola in Civil Lines, said that the power was cut off several times since evening. The voltage was so low at night that even a bulb could not be lit. Despite this situation being the same for three days, there is no permanent solution to the problem. Aadarsh Dubey, a teacher living in the railway colony here, said that the power went off at around 10 pm and came back three times for two minutes each. Then the supply was restored directly at 2 am. Till then everyone was suffering in the heat with small children. Anant Pratap Singh, a resident of Hauslanagar, said that the condition was bad due to the fluctuation of electricity throughout the night. Officials were called several times, but repairs could not be done. The situation was the same in Hydel Colony, Kandhari Bazaar and Rikabganj.
Low voltage problem in Amaniganj
There was a power crisis in the areas connected to Amaniganj power house. Krishna Shukla said that the voltage has been fluctuating for the last three days. No equipment is working. Everyone reached the power house at night and started calling JE-SDO, but no one picked up the phone.
The villagers were restless for eight hours
People of Gram Panchayat Rampur Bhagan and surrounding villages of Bikapur power substation became restless due to non-availability of electricity from 3 pm to 11 pm on Wednesday. Junior Engineer Sudhir Kumar said that the fault was caused due to burning of cable on the feeder of the substation.

The power supply of Civil Line Power House was cut off at night. Therefore, the entire staff was busy in repairing it. Due to this, despite the problems, their solution was delayed. The capacity of transformers has also been increased at many places including Defense Colony, Mukeri Tola. Capacity enhancement work is going on at other places.
