During a joint operation conducted by the Purakalandar police and SWAT team of Ayodhya district, a robbery accused was arrested in an encounter near Kachauli village of Purakalandar police station area. In the firing from both sides, the accused was shot in the leg, due to which he was seriously injured. He was admitted to the district hospital late at night.
Late on Sunday night in the Haiderganj police station area, bike-riding miscreants robbed a bike from a youth at gunpoint. A case was registered against three unidentified miscreants in the Haiderganj police station. A team was formed to arrest them. The police and SOG team were working on this.
The youth was arrested near Kachauli canal in Purakalandar police station area around 12 o’clock on Monday night. SHO Ratan Sharma said that the looted bike has also been recovered. The matter is being investigated and enquired into.
