Ayodhya. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University will buy the land of an advocate near the airport at circle rate. Retired fourth class employees will be given service extension on fixed honorarium. With these decisions, the working council of the university gave its approval to all the proposals accepted by the Academic Council.
On Friday, a meeting of the working council was held in the university’s Kautilya administrative building under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Pratibha Goyal. The discussion began in the meeting as per the pre-decided agenda. During this, the case of an advocate associated with the university was considered. According to this, an advocate has land near the university campus and the airport. A proposal was put forward by the advocate to the university administration that either he should be given land for the road or the university should buy his land.
While discussing in the meeting, the members agreed that instead of giving the road, this land should be acquired at circle rate or by paying compensation. Finally it was decided that it will be purchased at circle rate. For this, the required amount will be paid from the university fund. In this episode, while considering the case of a retired fourth class employee, it was decided to give him an extension in service on the fixed honorarium of Rs 12,000.
The proposal for allotment of housing for teachers and staff was also discussed in the meeting. This was also approved. Apart from this, the proposals approved by the Vidya Parishad were also approved. This mainly included the inclusion of value added courses and certificate courses in the university bye-laws. Similarly, some other topics related to the convocation were also discussed.
Along with this, approval was given to award 115 gold medals to students and degrees to 170 PhD scholars in the convocation. Registrar Dr. Anjani Mishra, Finance Controller Purnendu Shukla, Prof. Suchita Pandey, Prof. SS Mishra, Prof. Pratibha Rai, Prof. VP Singh, Prof. Kaushalendra Pratap Mishra and Prof. Sitaram Singh along with other members were present in the meeting. Some members also joined online.
