The mobile number from which donations are being sought by opening a fake account and making it viral on social media, is said to be a SIM issued in the name of Alkhair Finance. The cyber cell of the police has started investigating the case.
The complaint has been given on behalf of Jufar Farooqui, Chief Trustee of Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation Trust. Trust Secretary Athar Hussain and Arshad Afzal Khan associated with the Trust said that a picture is being circulated on social media platforms, in which the picture of the Trust’s proposed mosque Mohammad Bin Abdullah Mosque and details of a bank and account located at Ayodhya Shringarhat have been given. .

He says that some unknown person has fraudulently opened a bank account in the name of the mosque for collecting donations by using the picture and name of the proposed mosque of the Trust. Told that no such bank account is being operated by the Trust nor has the Trust opened any account in the Central Bank of India. Arshad Afzal says that a complaint has been lodged on behalf of the Chief Trustee at Gautampalli police station in Lucknow.
