The grand inauguration of the 86th birth anniversary of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, took place on Friday. Former Deputy CM Dr. Dinesh Sharma said while inaugurating that saints are the soul of India. They are symbols of Indian culture. Where the saints have their say, there is peace and prosperity. The whole of India respects Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Ayodhya is awake, Ayodhya never sleeps. Ayodhya never loses and Ayodhya never disappoints anyone.
The rituals in connection with the birth anniversary had started on Wednesday itself, but on Friday the birth anniversary got a new dimension. Not only did the famous storyteller Pundarik Goswami, resident of Vrindavan, start the Bhagwat Katha on the occasion of his birth anniversary, but before the beginning of the Katha, many selected saints and eminent personalities revealed the essence of the speciality of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Describing Mahant Nritya Gopal Das as a living legend, Mahant Mithilesh Nandini Sharan said that the glory of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is a source of inspiration for the current generation.
Mahant Dr. Bharatdas of Shirsh Peeth Udasin Rishi Ashram said, today we get guidance through his character. The example of saintliness and service that he has set will always be inspiring. Mayor and Mahant Girishpati Tripathi of Acharya Peeth Tiwari Temple said that Maharajshree is synonymous with the Vaishnavism and tradition of Ayodhya. Mahant Kamalnayan Das, successor of Mahant Nritya Gopaldas, expressed gratitude to the saints. On this occasion, Mahant Dr. Ramanand Das, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Akhileshwaranand, Madhya Pradesh, Mahant Mahendra Das, Sharad Sharma and a large number of devotees from different states were present.
