On Tuesday evening, Tarunjeet Verma, who was an advocate in the Ram Mandir case, was attacked by people riding a Bolero near Jamthara Bandh in the Cantt police station area of Ayodhya district. In this case, the police have registered a case against two people and started investigation.
Advocate Tarunjeet Verma, a resident of Begumpur in Chhoti Devkali ward, said in the FIR lodged that on Tuesday, he was coming with his wife from Bati Wale Baba’s Bandha towards Jamthara when the people in the Bolero suddenly opened the door of the car, which collided with his car.

When he expressed his displeasure, the people in the Bolero got down and attacked him with intent to kill. Ram and Suraj, who live near Jamthara Bandha, attacked him with a wooden pole lying nearby with the intention of killing him. Luckily, he survived. He escaped narrowly due to the alertness of the government security personnel who was with him. SHO Sanjay Maurya said that a case has been registered against the accused Ram and Suraj under serious sections including attempt to murder.
