The construction works were reviewed on the second day of the Ram Temple Construction Committee meeting. Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra directed to increase the number of labourers. Shortage of laborers remains a matter of concern for the Trust. At present 700 to 800 laborers are working in Ram Mandir whereas the need is double the number of laborers. He said that the work on Saptamandapam temples will be completed by January 22, the anniversary of Pran Pratishtha, but there is still doubt whether darshan will be started.
Nripendra Mishra said that the progress of the temple is being reviewed. In the first day’s meeting it was estimated how much of the challenge still remained. Except the Shikhar, all other stone work in the temple has been completed. Shikhar construction work is going on. The work of delivering 50 percent of the stones for the construction of the rampart has been completed. Eight lakh cubic feet of stones are to be used in the construction. About four lakh cubic feet of stones have been used. The temple will be illuminated with attractive lights through projectors on the roof of the parkota. For this work it is necessary to complete the roof construction.
Nripendra said that the construction work of seven other temples being built in the complex is satisfactory. Along with the temple, seven temples will also be completely ready. Similarly, the work of Sheshavatar temple will also be completed as per its time. To speed up the temple construction work, the number of workers will have to be doubled. For this, officials of the construction organization have been asked. It is expected that all the work will be completed by June 2025. The work of carving the idols with iconography in the lower plinth of Ram temple is also going on at a fast pace.
