Preparations for Shri Krishna Janmashtami have begun in Ramnagari. Rituals will begin in the monasteries and temples of Ramnagari from Sunday. This time there are preparations to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami in a grand manner in the court of Ramlala. This will be the first Janmashtami after the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala. On Janmashtami, Ramlala will be offered 1.5 quintals of Panjiri. Before this, Abhishek will be done with 50 kg of Panchamrit. The temple will be decorated grandly. There will also be cultural programs.
There is also a strong devotion for Krishna in the Ramnagari Ayodhya. There are several ancient Krishna temples here that are witnesses to the inseparability of Shri Ram and Krishna. Janmashtami will be celebrated with fervour in all these temples. The festival will be celebrated for two days in Ayodhya. The devotees associated with the householder tradition will celebrate Janmashtami on the 26th and in the monasteries and temples that recognize the Udaya date, it will be celebrated on the 27th. There are preparations to celebrate Janmashtami on August 26 itself in the court of Ramlalla. The preparations for Janmashtami have been completed in Ayodhya’s Gokul Bhawan, Brijmohan Kunj, Radha Brijraj Mandir, Radha Madhav Temple at Raj Sadan, Gurudham, ISKCON Temple.
Ram Mandir will be completed two months late due to shortage of workers
The slow pace of construction of Ram Mandir remains a matter of concern for the Trust. On the second day of the construction committee meeting, the review of construction work and availability of workers were discussed. Temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Mishra said that they would like to complete the construction of the temple in June 2025. But, due to the harsh weather and festivals, laborers are not available.
Therefore, the work may be delayed by two months. Talks are going on with contractors from Rajasthan for labourers. We are trying to find most of the labourers who do stone-related work in Rajasthan.
