After cow fat was found in Tirupati’s Laddu Prasad, there are continuous discussions about the Prasad offered in temples. A day ago, the saints of Ayodhya held a meeting and appealed that Prasad bought from the market should not be offered to God in temples. Talking about the Ram temple, which is the center of attraction for devotees from the country and the world these days, there is no possibility of adulteration in the Prasad here. Because offering Prasad is already prohibited here.
Prakash Gupta, office in-charge of Shriramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, says that no prasad is offered to Ramlala from outside. Devotees also go to the temple empty-handed to have darshan. Devotees can only offer prasad of “bhaav” to Ramlala. Cardamom seeds are distributed to the devotees as prasad by the Ram Mandir Trust. This prasad is prepared by mixing small cardamom and sugar. He said that cardamom seeds have many health benefits. It contains potassium, magnesium and many minerals. It works as a panacea for stomach problems.
Use of machine in distributing prasad
Prakash Gupta told that after the consecration of Ram Lalla, one lakh devotees attend the court of Ram Lalla every day. Keeping this crowd in mind, a machine is used to distribute Prasad to all the devotees. This machine was installed near the under construction PFC on the way back for the visitors to the complex. With the installation of this machine, all the devotees who come for darshan are able to get Prasad in a convenient manner. Prasad is also distributed free of cost to the devotees on the VIP Darshan Marg.
Ramlala enjoys the dishes prepared in the kitchen
Ramlala is offered food four times a day. Priest Ashok Upadhyay says that Ramlala is served different dishes every day and time. These dishes are prepared in the kitchen of Ram Mandir. The morning starts with Bal Bhog. In this, rabri, peda or any other sweet is offered. Rajbhog is offered in the afternoon, which includes dal, rice, roti, vegetable, salad and kheer. At the time of evening aarti also, different sweets are offered and a full meal is offered at night as well. This prasad is distributed to the devotees sometimes. On a regular basis, cardamom seeds are given to the devotees by the trust. Only peda is ordered from outside, which has been coming from a certain shop for decades. Special attention is paid to quality and purity.
