Bhelsar. The farmers of dozens of villages in the area are troubled due to lack of water in the Sharda Sahayak Canal and Rajbaha. Farmers are worried about preparing sugarcane and paddy crops with their hard-earned money. On the other hand, the officers and employees, who are indifferent to this problem, are sitting in the office and washing their hands off the matter by giving assurances.
Due to lack of water in Sharda Sahayak Canal and Rajbaha of Rudauli area, farmers are facing the problem of irrigation of crops. Farmers somehow managed to plant paddy through pump sets, but now they are quite worried about irrigation. Due to lack of water in the canal for a fortnight, the minors connected to it have also dried up. A big crisis has arisen in front of the farmers who depend on the canal and minors for farming.
Karimpur resident Algu Prasad says that drizzling water will not benefit farmers unless there is heavy rainfall. Jahanpur resident farmer Rampal said that farmers sometimes suffer from weather and sometimes drought. Gulchappa resident farmer Sukai says that after waiting for rain, I am irrigating paddy with a pumping set. It is costing more but I am helpless so that the crop does not dry up. Saranpir resident farmer Bhairam says that out of helplessness, he is somehow getting the paddy crop prepared with the help of tubewell water. The irrigation department does not feel the need to release water in the canal.
