The three-day Pratistha Dwadashi festival organized on the completion of one year of Pran Pratistha in the grand temple of Ramlala’s idol, concluded on Monday. This year, the anniversary of Balakram’s death will be celebrated once again in the month of December. The festival of Pratistha Dwadashi has been added to the tradition of Ramnagari. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced to celebrate Pratistha Dwadashi festival every year. On January 22 last year, Ramlala’s life was consecrated in the grand temple. 22nd January was the date of Paush Shukla Dwitiya. Ram Mandir Trust says that in Hindu tradition, celebrations and festivals are celebrated according to Hindu dates. Therefore, the anniversary of the consecration of Ramlala’s idol will also be celebrated on a Hindu date.

Due to this, this year the festival of Pratistha Dwadashi was celebrated from Paush Shukla Dwadashi to Chaturthi i.e. from 11 to 13 January. Various religious and cultural programs took place as part of the festival. Now every year the festival of Pratistha Dwadashi will be celebrated on Paush Shukla Dwadashi only. Hindu New Year will start from 30 March 2025 and the next Paush Shukla Dwadashi will fall on 31 December. This date is on Wednesday.

On this day, Dwadashi Tithi will start from 5 am in the morning and will continue till 1:48 am on January 1, 2026. After this, Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha will be observed. In 2026 this date will fall on 27th December. Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, says that we will celebrate the festival according to the Hindu calendar. Whenever this date falls, a festive program will be held on that date only.
