Women participated in the rally organized by GIC for voter awareness.-Samvaad
Ayodhya. A human chain was formed from Government Inter College to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. Also, disabled people and women took out a pink rally. Through these, the voters of the district were given the message to discharge their paramount duty towards democracy by compulsorily going to their respective polling stations on 20th and 25th May.
Children from various schools, teachers, women from self-help groups and other citizens enthusiastically participated in the human chain with slogans for voter awareness. Their number was more than 10,000. Divyang Rally and Women’s Pink Rally were flagged off by DM Nitish Kumar, SSP Rajkaran Nayyar, Expenditure Observer and Police Observer from GIC. These rallies concluded near the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium located in the premises of Avadh University.
Voter awareness meeting was organized in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. In this, students of Methodist Girls Inter College, Kanausa Convent School and Sahabdeen Sitaram Inter College and sisters of NRLM group presented songs and folk dances related to voter awareness.
DM said that this is the festival of elections. Participate enthusiastically in voting on this occasion. Use your opinion in a very logical manner. Everyone should vote themselves and inspire people around them to vote as well.
On this occasion, Chief Development Officer and Sweep Incharge Rishiraj, Joint Magistrate Swati Sharma, District Development Officer Upendra Pal and BSA Santosh Rai and others were present.
