This Lok Sabha election is more important for Ayodhya than last time. The BJP candidate, who is contesting elections for the fifth consecutive time, is trying to score a hat-trick by winning for the first time, while the SP candidate, who is a nine-time MLA and a six-time minister, is eager to reach the Lok Sabha for the first time. This election is also for the political debut of BSP candidate. Who succeeds in his objective and whose plans are thwarted will be decided on June 4. But his exam is on Monday only.
Emphasis on increasing voting percentage
The scorching sun and humid heat will give a tough test to the voters. In the 2014 elections, the maximum turnout was 58.88%. This record was broken by the people of the district in the 2019 elections and created a new record by voting 61%. The district administration and social organizations have tried their best to break all the old records in this election.
Reputation of regional MLAs also at stake
BJP MLAs are elected on four out of the five assembly seats falling in the Lok Sabha constituency. SP has control over only Milkipur seat, from where the SP candidate is the only MLA. In such a situation, the reputation of the MLAs is also at stake to ensure victory of the party candidates on their seats.
