Ayodhya. Infectious diseases are spreading due to mosquitoes breeding in rainwater after it accumulates at various places. Hospitals are full of fever patients. The number of dengue patients has increased to 24. Experts have advised people to pay special attention to their food habits while keeping proper arrangements to protect themselves from mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes that have grown in the rainwater in the last few days have increased biting people. Its effect is also visible at the Medical College, District Hospital, Government Shriram Hospital and CHC-PHC. The number of fever patients has increased here. The Medical College is seeing a lot of such patients. In the OPD of about 400, 150 patients are coming with problems like high fever, body ache, joint pain. Many of them are even being admitted. On Tuesday, 85 patients were admitted in the 100-bed medicine ward. About 30-35 of these patients were admitted after suffering from high fever. However, everyone’s condition was said to be normal.
Associate Professor of Medicine Department, Dr. Virendra Verma said that many such patients are also coming to OPD, whose dengue test is negative, but symptoms of dengue are visible. Such patients are also being treated like dengue patients. The crowd of patients has increased, but people are also recovering fast. He said that it is very important to make arrangements to protect from mosquitoes. Dengue mosquitoes bite only during the day. Therefore, wear full-sleeved clothes during the day. Use mosquito net at night as well or make other arrangements to protect from mosquitoes. In case of any kind of problem, get tested and treated immediately.

Medical College dietician Dr. Mohuya Mukherjee says that it is very important for dengue and malaria patients to take proper and balanced diet. Consume more fluids. Protein helps in increasing immunity. Include pulses, milk, soybean, egg, chicken etc. or things made from these in the diet. Take food rich in vitamin C, A, iron like lemon, guava, kiwi, seasonal vegetables along with green leafy vegetables. This also reduces infection and symptoms of the disease. Give light and easily digestible food to such patients. Give boiled vegetables, porridge, thin khichdi etc. Eat fruits and vegetables to increase platelets. Raw papaya, pineapple, pomegranate, folic acid increases platelets. Grind papaya leaves and take 30 ml. Two-three times.
