Ayodhya. Students got angry when an MBBS girl student who went to register at the prescription counter of Darshan Nagar Medical College was threatened with beating. They created a ruckus for hours by beating two employees. The CO also had an altercation with the MBBS students who had gathered in large numbers. During this, patients had to face difficulties in getting registered from 1 pm onwards and OPD services were affected. Due to the ruckus that lasted for about three hours, there was an atmosphere of chaos and confusion.

Ritu and another student of MBBS 2020 batch went to the medical college’s form counter on Monday afternoon at around 12:30 pm to register. It is alleged that in the meantime the employee present there locked the cabin. When the student protested, the employee said, “Go and tell the principal, I will give you a slap, you will learn manners”. After this, the student became angry. When other students got the information, a large number of students from different batches gathered outside the registration room.

Seeing themselves surrounded, the employees locked themselves from inside, but the students were adamant on beating the accused employee. The students banged the cabin door several times. Meanwhile, when the registration was interrupted, the patients also started creating a ruckus. When the hospital security personnel tried to intervene, the students also had an altercation with them. Emergency Trauma Incharge Dr. Vinay Arya also tried to convince them, but the students did not listen to him and were adamant on throwing the employee out.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya CO Ashutosh Tiwari and Ayodhya Kotwal Manoj Sharma also arrived and were questioning when two employees Abhishek Mishra and Ashok Kumar Singh fell into the hands of the students, who beat them up mercilessly. According to sources, the CO also narrowly escaped the wrath of the students and there was an altercation with him too. When the police officers assured action, the students calmed down.

About 500 patients faced problems

– Patients had to face a lot of trouble in getting registered due to chaos in the OPD area since 12:30 pm. After a lot of struggle, the slip was issued, by then it was time for the doctors to leave. Due to this, about 500 patients were forced to return without getting treatment.

The responsible officer did not arrive for an hour

-The ruckus started in the OPD from 12:30 pm, but the Principal, Vice Principal, CMS, Superintendent and other responsible officers were not seen for almost an hour. Perhaps this is why the students became more agitated.

Even five days ago the employee had locked the door

-Student Ritu said that five days ago also the employee had behaved in the same manner with her. When she went inside to get the slip, he locked the door from outside and behaved indecently with her when she questioned him.

Statements of students were recorded in the principal’s room

In the Principal’s room, in the presence of CO Ashutosh Tiwari, Principal Dr. Gyanendra Kumar, CMS Dr. Arvind Singh, the students were questioned and their statements were recorded. Police Inspector Manoj Sharma said that the girl student has given a complaint. The matter is being investigated.

Dr Vinod remained the safety shield of the employees for a long time

The angry students were repeatedly running towards the registration room to beat up the employee, but emergency trauma in-charge Dr. Vinod Arya stood at the door as a protective shield for the employees for a long time. The students would stop on seeing him. But even he could not save the employees for long.
