In the Milkipur assembly by-election, the Samajwadi Party has put an end to all the speculations about the candidate and has placed its bet on Ajit Prasad. This was announced after a consensus was reached on Ajit Prasad being the candidate in the meeting of SP leaders and workers of the district held at the Lucknow party office on Sunday. Everyone has united and resolved to win the Milkipur by-election.
After Milkipur MLA Awadhesh Prasad became an MP, a by-election is to be held on this seat. The party had already indicated that the MP’s son Ajit Prasad would be the candidate on the reserved seat, yet two other leaders were also staking claim. To take the final decision on the candidate, on Sunday the SP National President held a meeting with all the former MLAs, office bearers, booth and sector agents of the party, including about 700 people, at the Lucknow office and discussed about the candidate. Suggestions were sought from all. During this, everyone agreed on Ajit Prasad being the candidate, so the National President directed everyone to forget their mutual differences and concentrate on making the candidate win.
District President Parasnath Yadav said that after a consensus was reached on Ajit Prasad becoming the candidate, the national president has made the announcement in the meeting itself. There is no internal difference of opinion in the Samajwadi Party. SP’s victory on this seat is certain.
Anandsen also came along, claimed to win the election
Former MLA Anandsen Yadav, who is angry since the Lok Sabha elections, has been an MLA from Milkipur assembly constituency twice. Milkipur assembly constituency has been considered his stronghold since the time of his father and former MP. In such a situation, it was not easy for SP to win this seat amid his anger. Meanwhile, Anandsen Yadav also attended the meeting on Sunday and denying many speculations and possibilities, he also openly supported Ajit Prasad and claimed to make him win the election.
