Ayodhya. In Devansh Hospital, which has been in the news continuously for a year, an unauthorized and clumsy person had performed cesarean delivery of the woman. Only after this the mother and child died. In the investigation of the Health Department, the hospital management has been found guilty, on which the investigation team has recommended legal action. It is being claimed that strict action will be taken by sealing the hospital soon.
Amit Kumar, a resident of Sasauli Kocha Bazar of Bikapur tehsil area, had taken his wife Mahima to the district women’s hospital for delivery. When the condition worsened, the doctors referred him there, so the private ambulance driver made him talk to Sakshi Tiwari of Devansh Hospital over the phone. When she called him claiming to provide good treatment, he took the patient to Devansh Hospital.
Mahima gave birth to a son through operation on the afternoon of 14 March. When the child’s condition was said to be bad at that time, he was admitted to a private hospital. The child died there on the fifth day. Meanwhile, Mahima’s condition also worsened and she was taken to Lucknow, where Mahima also died during treatment. When the victim complained to the CMO alleging wrong treatment at Devansh Hospital, the matter was investigated.
Investigation found that there was no surgeon empaneled for caesarean delivery in the hospital, rather an unauthorized and clumsy person had performed the caesarean delivery of the woman. The hospital is neither capable nor authorized for this. ICU and IVF facilities are shown on the main board of the hospital. The hospital is not empaneled and authorized for this facility also. To stop unauthorized treatment in this hospital, the investigation team has recommended immediate closure of the hospital and taking action against the hospital as per rules.
CMO Dr. Sanjay Jain said that the investigation team has sent its report. Devansh Hospital is not authorized for cesarean delivery. This is gross negligence. Therefore, strict action will be taken against the operator by closing the hospital.
