Before the second day’s meeting began, he expressed concern over the progress of the temple construction. He said that due to adverse weather and shortage of labourers, the pace of construction work has slowed down. Therefore, L&T has been instructed to immediately increase the number of labourers. Chairman of the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti Nripendra Mishra said that due to extreme heat, rain and shortage of labourers, the pace of Ram Mandir construction has slowed down for the last three months. The construction committee has set the deadline of December 2024 to complete the construction of the temple, but now it seems that there will be a delay of two months. The biggest reason for this is the shortage of workers. Due to the scorching heat, the workers have gone on leave. L&T is now facing difficulty in bringing the workers back. He said that the biggest challenge is the construction of the peak. Until the work of the second floor is completed, the construction of the peak will also not be completed. The domes of the second floor should be completed. If the construction is done at today’s pace, there will be a delay.

L&T has been instructed to increase the number of workers. If 200 to 250 more workers are not added, we will definitely not be able to complete the work in December. At present, quality will not be compromised to increase the speed.

Facade lights will be installed after the rampart is built

Nripendra Mishra said that it has not been decided yet when the facade lights will be installed. On Sunday, five companies from India and abroad gave presentations. Everyone has told their features, no one has been selected yet. The facade lights will be installed only after the work on the rampart is completed. These lights have to be installed on the roof of the rampart, so only the presentation has been seen so far.
