Road dug to repair damaged drinking water pipeline on Rampath.-Samvaad
Ayodhya. The drinking water pipeline on Rampath has been damaged. Drinking water supply has also come to a standstill in the areas related to this. The work of repairing the damaged pipeline is being done by digging the road near Rikabganj intersection. Meanwhile, drainage from the drains of the surrounding localities has also been disrupted.
As we moved towards Niyawan from Rikabganj intersection on Rampath, there was leakage in the old drinking water pipeline under the road on the left lane. There was a danger of the road collapsing. Such situations have already arisen at many other places on Rampath.
The drain on this route was also choked. The drain water was being released on the road by installing a pump. Meanwhile, after the damage to the drinking water pipeline, the company constructing the road has started the repair work under the supervision of the Public Works Department.
Due to repair work, traffic has been stopped by barricading on the road from Rikabganj intersection to Niyawan. In such a situation, vehicles are moving from the right lane, which then turn towards the left lane after the next cut of the divider.
Due to the movement of vehicles on both sides from the same lane near the intersection, there is a traffic jam. Here, a wide width of road has been excavated for repair work. The area that has been excavated is filled with water. In such a situation, the repair work is getting hampered.
The supply of drinking water has been disrupted in the areas connected to this pipeline of Rampath. The supply will be resumed only after the repair work is completed. In this situation, the people living in the houses who are dependent only on the supply from pipe line, are yearning for drinking water.
Meanwhile, a new problem has arisen in many localities adjacent to Rampath. The drains here are ringing. Contaminated water is not being drained. Aslam, who runs a shop in Arya Kanya Gali, said that during the pipeline repair, the drainage of water has been stopped. That is why this problem has arisen.

Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, Dhruv Aggarwal said that the pipeline on Rampath is very old and deep. That is why there is difficulty in repair work. It will take two more days. Till then drinking water supply and drainage of drains may remain disrupted.
