New priests have been put on duty in the Ram temple. Many strict rules have also been made for priests. Priests have been deployed for duty in two shifts in groups of seven each. The priest who stays in the sanctum sanctorum will not be able to go out. The priest who is off duty will not be able to enter the sanctum sanctorum. Touching outsiders will be prohibited from entering the sanctum sanctorum without bathing. Priests will not be able to use mobile phones in the sanctum sanctorum.

There will be change in duties from Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha of every month. This duty will start from Pratipada of Krishna Paksha till Amavasya and then from Pratipada of Shukla Paksha till Purnima. The duty of the daily first shift will start from 4 am in the morning with the Utthan of Lord and will continue till 12.30 noon till Rajbhog Aarti of Lord.

The second shift will start from 12.30 noon to 4.30 pm and will continue from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Priests have also been put on duty for the worship of Kubereshwar Mahadev located at Hanuman Temple and Kuber Tila. The priests will also have to perform the rituals to be performed in the Ram temple, separate duties have been imposed for this also.
