Ayodhya. The city of Ram was seen to be coloured with devotion to Lord Shiva on the second Monday of Sawan. Chants of Har Har Mahadev reverberated, the joy of devotion to Lord Shiva was visible. From dawn itself, devotees were seen queuing up for Jalabhishek and worship in Shiva temples. Thousands of Kanwariyas came carrying the water of Saryu in Kanwar. This sequence continued till late night.

The devotees of Lord Shiva who gathered in Ramnagari first took a dip in the holy river Saryu. After this, they performed Jalabhishek and Puja at the ancient Peeth Nageshwarnath. There was a queue of about 500 meters long from the entrance of Nageshwarnath to Ram’s Paidi. From here, the crowd of devotees set out for darshan and worship in other Shiva temples.
In the ancient Peeth Kshireshwarnath, the chants of Har Har Mahadev kept resonating from morning till evening. The devotees anointed Bhole Baba. They offered Bhaang, Dhatura, flowers and Bel leaves and made wishes.
The group of Kanwariyas, dancing and singing to the tune of DJ, also anointed Lord Bholenath with Saryu water. The movement of Kanwariyas continued from morning till evening. At Panchmukhi Mahadev, Durga Kali Darbar, Chandrahari Mahadev, Koteshwar Mahadev and other Shiva temples, there was a continuous flow of devotees for worship since morning. There were tight security arrangements in Ramnagari, the fair area is being monitored through CCTV cameras.
One and a half lakh devotees attended Ramlala’s court
The devotees who reached Ayodhya on the second Monday of Sawan, after performing Abhishek of Bhole Baba, also thronged to Ramlala’s court. From Ramjanmabhoomi Path to Ram Mandir, along with Jai Shri Ram, chants of Har Har Mahadev also resonated. One and a half lakh devotees attended Ramlala’s court from 6:30 am to 8 pm.
Hanumangarhi exit gate opened
The exit gate of Siddha Peeth Hanumangarhi has been opened for devotees on the second Monday of Sawan. Devotees coming to Ayodhya do not forget to attend Hanumantlala’s court. Therefore, the crowd pressure here is also more than other temples. Due to the widening work, the exit gate remained closed for about one and a half months. Now the width of the exit gate has increased from eight feet to 20 feet. On Monday, groups of devotees were taken out from the exit gate to control the crowd. At the same time, devotees had to face trouble due to slippery roads in the Hanumangarhi premises.
