Ayodhya. Thieves entered a house in Vaishnavnagar Colony Usru of Nagar Kotwali area late on Monday night by jumping over the boundary wall and stole jewellery and cash worth about Rs 10 lakh. On getting to know about the matter in the morning, the family informed the police. The police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.

Colony resident Kanaklata Shrivastava’s son lives in Delhi. She and her daughter-in-law were sleeping in the house on Monday night. When they woke up in the morning, they saw that the things in two rooms of the house were scattered. On investigation, it was found that three-four people jumped the boundary wall and entered through the window and stole the precious jewellery and cash kept in the cupboard. They filed a complaint with the police and demanded action. Inspector in-charge Ashwani Pandey said that the details of the stolen items have been sought from the house owner. Action is being taken by registering a case in the matter. Teams have been deployed to uncover the incident. Nearby CCTV footage is also being scanned.
