Case one: Rs 6100 spent on CT scan and other tests

Siyaram, a resident of Bhairopur Tikra Khajurhat, has been admitted to the TB and Chest ward due to chest infection. His son Manoj Kumar told that if the investigation was not done here, CT scan and some other tests had to be done from outside. About Rs 6100 were spent for this.

Case 2: Reached hospital due to seizures, 3200 were examined.

When Vishal Kumar of Gosaiganj suffered a seizure, his family members took him to the Medical College Trauma Center. Here he was kept in the Red Zone and treatment was started, but as CT scan could not be done, he was sent to a private center located near Brahma Baba. The attendant told that the investigation was done there for Rs 3200.

Ayodhya. These two cases have been presented for example. Due to lack of sleep of those responsible in the medical college, the patients have been either paying huge amounts of money and getting tested from outside or are groaning while lying on the bed for the last 25 days. It is still being claimed that the broken machine will be repaired by Monday.

One CT scan machine is operated on PPP mode at Medical College Darshan Nagar. Whereas, another machine from the Medical Supply Corporation was also installed about four-five months ago, but it has not been installed yet. The first machine suddenly broke down on April 6. Engineers informed about the failure of an important part, but could not arrange for the goods even within 25 days.

When Amar Ujala took stock of the hospital premises on Saturday, many patients were seen worried about tests. The patients coming to the OPD somehow went from outside or from the district hospital to get tested, but the serious patients who could not travel remained groaning lying on the bed. He has also expressed anger towards the system.

An item worth approximately Rs 13 lakh is being ordered. The order has been placed. The machine will be repaired as soon as the goods are received. It is expected that the investigation will start from Monday. – Dr. Gyanendra Kumar, Principal, Medical College
