The government administration has had to face an embarrassing situation due to the potholes that appeared on the newly constructed Rampath in Ayodhya during the pre-monsoon rains. In view of this, three people including Public Works Department Executive Engineer Dhruv Agarwal have been suspended. Apart from Dhruv Agarwal, those suspended include Assistant Engineer Anuj Deshwal and Junior Engineer Prabhat Pandey.
Due to the potholes on Rampath during rains, questions are being raised about the quality of construction work. However, investigation into the matter has revealed negligence. Amar Ujala’s investigation has found that the collapse of roads is the result of haste in work and poor engineering.

The reason for the collapse of Rampath in some places due to pre-monsoon rains has come to light. During the construction of this road, work was done very fast in some parts. In such a situation, after digging the pits, very little time was available for the natural process of the soil layers getting compressed. Therefore, now when there was heavy rain in two phases, the same process started again and potholes appeared on the road. Currently, the Jal Nigam has filled all these potholes. In coordination with the Public Works Department, the sewer chambers built on the road are being monitored.
